1. Who We Are
Dhbna (dhbna.com) is an independent, non-commercial digital research initiative dedicated to the neutral documentation and analysis of the global gold market. The platform operates as a collective, volunteer-driven editorial effort in the spirit of a “Digital Endowment” — it is not owned by, operated for, or representative of any single individual, retailer, brokerage, or commercial interest.
The platform is United States–based: the dhbna.com domain and its name rights have been registered in the United States since 2018, and the platform has been live and publishing since 2021. All content is produced under institutional editorial standards by our research and audit units, and is published for informational and documentation purposes only. Nothing on this website constitutes financial advice or personal recommendations of any kind.
Our website address is: https://dhbna.com
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy explains what limited data the platform collects, why it is collected, and the rights you hold over it. As a documentation initiative, Dhbna’s principle is data minimalism: we collect nothing beyond what is technically necessary to operate the website, and we sell nothing — neither products, nor services, nor your data.
3. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes publicly visible in the context of your comment.
4. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images published on the site.
5. Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience so you do not have to re-enter your details when commenting again. These cookies last one year.
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies are set to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; display option cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your session persists for two weeks. Logging out deletes your login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply records the ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.
6. Embedded Content and Third-Party Widgets
Articles and pages on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles) and live market-data widgets provided by third parties, such as real-time gold price charts. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly.
These third parties may collect data about you, use their own cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content — including if you hold an account and are logged in on their platforms. Dhbna does not control, and is not responsible for, the data practices of these providers.
7. Who We Share Your Data With
Dhbna does not sell, rent, or trade personal data with any party. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
8. How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically rather than held in a moderation queue.
For users who register on the website (if any), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of the username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
9. Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided. You may also request the erasure of any personal data we hold about you. This excludes data we are obligated to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
10. Editorial Independence and Non-Commercial Status
Dhbna operates without commercial or advertising incentives. The platform receives no commissions, hosts no sponsored placements that influence editorial positions, and holds no vested interest in the price of gold rising or falling. Its editorial output reflects the collective institutional standards of its research units — not the views, holdings, or interests of any individual contributor.
